Assessments
A threat assessment
is a methodical evaluation of a perceived or potential threat so as to identify an individual's or organization's exposure
and vulnerability to the threat and to rate the probabilities as to when and where the threat might occur.
Threat assessment is the
first step of any risk assessment process.
1. Identify the threats
2. Identify your vulnerability to this
threat
3. Assess the likelihood of the threat eventuating
4. Evaluate the impact of the threat
Once you have
all of these factors, you can start a risk assessment that prioritizes your risks and looks at correlations between them.
Note: Prior to the commencement of an operation, The Jerico Group compiles
a Threat Assessment, it then suggests personnel, logistical and material assets needed to subdue the threat.
